Rex Borealis by Osmatar Rex Borealis by Osmatar
A young Tyrannosaurus still covered in protofeathers scours the arctic night in search of food.

This was one of my earlier attempts to create fully digital art in Photoshop, now slightly remastered for deviantart.

That's beautiful! My area of study at uni will be Palaeontology and I've had a nose around your gallery and the pictures are absolutely awe inspiring! This one is particularly beautiful, I really like the Northern Lights in the background as they bring out the lines of the Rex really well! FA

WOW... Now this is certainly very striking. I love the rare instances that people draw winter Tyrannosaurs. Although only a silhouette, you can tell the Rex is searching. In fact, this wonderful piece inspired me to paint this: [link] Not as good as yours obviously, but I loved your idea of a wandering winter Tyrannosaur. Pretty damn cool.

Wonderful serene ambience to this scene - no mean feat given that the subject matter is a fricking rex.

You should dig up some of your wonderful concept art for that Asian dinosaur storybook you pitched way back when.

I have a couple of pieces up, but I'm still unsure how much I should share beforehand, now that it seems likely that it'll be published in the foreseeable future.
