She-Ra Movie Costume Redesign

This is something I did for the He-man.org Redesign Challenge #100, the subject of which was Movie She-Ra. More specifically, an unused concept design from the 80's by William Stout. Now, I like most of Stout's work, but I felt he went too far to the Metal Hurlant direction with his. My approach was to keep from previous incarnations what felt integral to the look of the character while making the outfit look like it could work as a "realistic" movie costume, and yet preserve a fair amount of unique detail from the Stout movie design. A lot of compromises had to be made, which unfortunately may in the end not satisfy fans of either specific version.

My original intention for the challenge was to do a proper in-action piece of She-Ra, but I frankly ran out of time and energy, so I ended up having to pretty up my costume design sketches to use as my entry. That's why She-Ra here is more of a placeholder mannequin and the emphasis is on the outfit and accessories.
