What happens when the Human-Toothed Bat from the Romance of Alexander meets the Biting Pear of Salamanca? Is it love at first sight? Do they try to eat each other? Are they communicating somehow on a level incomprehensible to humans? You be the judge!
While I was listening to the C.M. Kosemen's podcast episode on the Creatures and Monsters in Legends About Alexander the Great I realized I wanted to draw or paint one of the bats with human teeth, and when this thing came around, I knew this was the time. I haven't done a full-fledged painting like this in ages, so this was a good way to stretch old muscles.
In case you don't like clicking on random links on April 1st, suffice to say this is indeed fan art of the highly memetic piece by the very talented and prolific ursulav.
