I was looking at my gallery a few days ago and wondered why I had posted one of the ladies from MOTU Redesign Challenge #98, but not the other. Well, turns out the reason was simple: it was awful. Done with the old dim & dark CRT monitor it just looked unforgivably bad on an LCD screen. So I went back to the original PSD file to tweak things, only to find that when I rushed the piece to make it to the deadline, I had not saved the final tattoos on the unflattened unresized version and lots more important touches were lacking. I tried my best to fix things to make this thing presentable but, well, you be the judge.
Also, I guess I should mention a bit about the character, Zilora of the Snake Clan. A not too well defined one-shot character in a time-traveling episode from the old 80's He-Man cartoon. You can see her original look here assuming the link works. Since she's supposed to be from the distant past and a leader of a snake-centric culture, I went wild with her looks, throwing in details from different old Earth cultures and making her look like a jungle warrior queen/priestess. Perhaps I went a little overboard with all the snakyness, I dunno. It was my vision and I'm sticking to it.
