Description
When the Speculative Dinosaur Project began to evolve from a bunch of people throwing around crazy ideas into something more ambitious, I realized that simply freehanding all the dinosaur drawing wasn't going to cut it. So I started producing these anatomy sketches to figure out the rough proportions and plausible postures of various taxa. They were originally not intended to be used on the Spec pages - they were too stiff and technical for that - though some of them did end up getting converted into color illustrations, or even used as is.
Taxa featured here starting from top left: Dhar (Stephanolophus indicus), Elumbe (Cornucantus belli), Grasbuck (Gramesaurus americanus), Torg (Ephippiosaurus sinkkoneni), Yale (Eale recticornis), Shambla (Beluasaurus benseni)
(It's probably worth mentioning that anything from one third to all of these taxa may have been bobunked between 2002 and today, and the ones that aren't were marked for an anatomical overhaul over five years ago.)
