Dinosauroid: Reckoning by Osmatar Dinosauroid: Reckoning by Osmatar
I wanted to put together a retrospective of all of the incarnations of my dinosauroids. From the start they were supposed to be more anatomically realistic alternatives to the famous Dinosauroid. Sadly, I could not get access to the first one from before 1997. I thought this was still interesting even without that. I have a habit of revisiting old ideas every now and then, so I could probably produce a ton of these (assuming I can still find the original drawings).

The names aren't there to differentiate the designs, I actually named each one differently, and each time ended up regretting the name I had picked. Let's hope Anthropoharpax (or Paranthropoharpax) finally sticks.

This is a neat exercise. Only twice have I gone back to re-draw something I did before, and both times it was fascinating to see all the changes.

Your style has certainly been cemented since the first example here. Your command of the medium has shifted, but the style remains consistent throughout. Thanks for sharing!

All of these look pretty neat, though the head hair like filaments kinda have an uncanny valley effect.

Just to be clear, are these still supposed to be troodontids?

I slapped the "hair feathers" on intentionally from the start. If I'm going to make a dinosaur far more humanlike than it has any right to be, I might as well go all out.

And yes, they are all highly derived troodontids, because Dale Russell.
