Old Spec Logo Art

This is the logo I made in 2002 for the Speculative Dinosaur Project with the drawings of the black beast and imperial sabre tyrant placed behind/beside it. It was all done in photoshop, except for the rhynchoraptor skull you can just make out in the yellow background box.

This design didn't stay on the front page too long before it was abandoned in favor of Erik Omdtvedt's (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) beautiful work that fit the front page design much better. I think these two drawings are still used as species illustrations on the taxa pages. They weren't designed as such, I made them just to jazz up the logo.

I really wanted to post the highest resolution version available but unfortunately this would be it. I didn't make a print quality version of the logo because I assumed it would have no other use than the front page. Sometimes I'm shocked by my own short-sightedness.
